...;...;...this game is so amazing i can't bring my self to explain it without shouting like a complete retard;;;but i can say it's the most exiting, thrilling, (and on a painful note) and most influential game I've ever played.

I bought it a while back, finished it in a week and traded it in not too long afterwards. It was way too easy and short. I didn't like it...

btw when you were playing this game did you do ANY of thw following:
realise the amazing and realistic 1st person motion
take a moment to look around and witness the power of Unreal Engine 3[2]
PhysX
take a go at the time triels there fun
try different style's (running to fighting or fighting to just running

sry thins sounds rude but i must apologise it is not an attemt to start a argument, its just what i say to everyone who says that (back to my point)
i heard there making a trilogy of this game.

I did do all of that. It wasn't a well made game. The combat was terrible, some of the running bits didn't flow as well as they should have done and there was too much trial and error in it. It was enjoyable while it lasted but the time trials didn't keep me occupied enough and it was way too short.

Actually... there are things I dislike about the game also.

I played it in normal first, then hard to get the achievement for that. Then I played it in easy, not shooting anyone for the entire game.

it got a lot more flowing each time, but there were bits that stood out as just... bad.

The inside of the warehose when you are to stop Kate's van. You know, that huge yellow room?

If you fell there were points where you would accidentally cling back on. This was a bad thing. It meant that, if for some reason i survive the fall, I then had to climb back up to apoint where i WOULD die from a fall. Then I had to jump off and make sure I died, just to take me back up to near the top where the last checkpoint was.

Then near the end where you have to fight that masked character? (won't say who in case anyone reads this who hasn't finished it)

That was aweful! I hated it. Even in easy it was just too much to bear... martial arts in a 1st person viewpoint doesn't work quite so well. Then you had to do it again after a nice running bit.

It was REALLY annoying.

Other than that... most of it was really good!

oh yea i remeber that, the snipung part, yea thats annoying cas you can just jump down but you have to run round and round to get down (it sucks)
also yea fighting the person is like "WTH why can't i do that"

I bought this game when it first came out and loved it. Yeah there ARE problems with it, but for a first time game of its type I think they did a great job. Hopefully they will fix a lot of the issues if they make a sequel. One of my complaints with it was that there wasn't a free roaming option for roaming the WHOLE city. It would have been nice to have it be a bit more like GTA in that you could say do side quests (free run assignments) or follow the main storyline instead of just being limited to either following the storyline or doing time trials. I haven't done the time trials yet (got hooked onto Guitar Hero) so maybe I will go back to the game and finish those someday.... maybe...

i was haveing the same conversation with my freind the other day about improvements and we said that there should be a free roamingwere you can find things like extra character's (or arms and legs any way^^') and unlockable content.

we also said there should be a job mode where your in the free roaming and you've got to get from a(start) to b(package) to c(location) as fast as possible (with like 10 ways of getting there.

Indeed. I think that would have been a very valuable addition.

If they'd made extra playable characters too... so you can do actual pvp races, not just time tials, online.

Oh yeah... martial arts would be used to get further in the race. Wallrun kick to get people off the ledge you want.

I heard the main problem with Mirrors Edge were the combat portions. A few of my mates found them annoying, especially since they interrupted the awesome parkour sequences.

yea I'm a pacifist (in real life) so if i don't have to fight in a game i don't

(btw. rpg's count as role playing not killing people so im fare with that)

Fixed your spelling for you. :P

I enjoy a good first person shooter, but I would also never kill anyone in real life. Then again, I would never wield a sword, cast fire spells or fly a starship in real life either. I don't have a problem with violence in video games as long as the distinction between fantasy and reality is clearly defined.

agreed ive always role playd as a kid and becuase im so skinny/weak i always got beaten up...so i sat in my room, listend to good music and bamb humanoid internal updating complete....ok so mabye haruhi had a hand as well....
---
anyway (ive got to stop that) i also kinda find the last scene a bit pitifull i mean the best free-runner just getting kicked of his own helicopter and you managing to get of it with a hand-cuffed girl without getting hurt, and may i add that the helicopter is also spinning out of control. its just not epic enough...but the credits are good.
((thanks Ryoko :D))

I can definitely relate to that... I was bullied quite a bit in school, primarily because I was a geek in a school ruled by jocks. However,I was fortunate enough to make a small group of friends who shared my interests. My social life is still below average, though. :(

(not a rude comment btw :D)
to be honest the few friends i have bor me so i hardly hang out with me...if i told them my closest friends are you guys they'd probably look at me strangely ^^'

also on rpg's im (almost) always a rogue (dexterity, daggers.ect) so i hide and quikely so i don't cause suffering ^^'
