I can't believe there is no thread of speculation about that

Or do you only like the facts ?

Hmm... I guess we just didn't make one. Not sure why.

In that case, let this be the official(?) second season speculation thread.

Topic data analyzed, conversation initialized:

Ok... series 2 would be Disappearance, Bamboo leaf rhapsody and, I'd imagine, It's conclusion from later on, no?

It's all interlinked... so. Wonder what they'll use to flesh it out.

I don't remember the name of the chapters/volume... I think it will be the story about Kyon going back in time to help Chibi Haruhi-sama to write the message....

There was a TV spot showing this scene.

That would be bamboo leaf rhapsody and disappearance.

Which is enough material for about half a season. I'm hoping they'll do Endless Eight, Charmed at First Sight LOVER, and maybe Snow Mountain Syndrome if they have time. Snow Mountain Syndrome would also be a good movie or OVA.

I remember snow mountain, it's when they are trapped during the storm right ? There are some good scenes in this chapter

I laughed when they visit each other rooms

true but the interesting thing was to know who visited which room

Snow mountain syndrome as an OVA, eh?

That'd be quite good.

I'm imagining you're right about the endless eight + LOVER parts

I thought maybe they'd incorporate the melancholy of Asahina Mikuru... but that ties in with the last book too. Hmm.

I hope they will do every volume in anime, even if it takes 9 season !

I'd say 4 seasons MAX for the first 9 books. 3 and a half most likely. Mind you... come S3 we'll have at least 2 new books... well... I hope.

Well start... now.

I'm sure between Nagato and Myself... we'll be able to keep Haruhi occupied for a short while

Confusing wave form.....Analyze failure.

So,are there going to be S2??I do hope there is.I only know about Bamboo leaf rapshody and Disappearance. The advertising are so overwhelming, but truth be fold, the official sites never actually give confirmations....And by storm syndrom,do you mean the one in the Isolated Island?

Posted: Sun Nov 25, 2007 6:21 am
by Taiga
No... It's at Tsuruya's holiday home.

If you want to know... go back and watch Lone Island Syndrome 1... Itsuki even says EXACTLY what it is =D

What??Tsuruya's holiday house??Is there such in the anime??Which episode is it??Tell me,tell me!Argh,im so curious!

Not in the first anime... but the storm I believe you're referring to is later on in the books. It's based on another brigade outing. 'Snow Mountain Syndrome'

...Itsuki got his comparisons dead correct. He said something along the lines of:

'The detectives of novels thrusts themselves out into the world, ending up in situations that could warrant a story. Haruhi is excited as to what could happen. Naturally she doesn't wish for it, so it won't happen, but... If a storm struck up we'd be in a closed-circle situation. Much like being on a mountain, caught in a snowstorm.'

You should read the novels before you watch the anime... reading causes you to imagine your own settings based on what you read. Watching an anime you only see 1 reprisentation... and are unlikely to imagine a second one when you DO read it.

Then, where can I get the novel??

by Taiga
They're not currently licensed in the UK and (I seriously doubt that they are) America. And unless you're pretty much fluent in Japanese or Chinese there's not much point in getting an imported copy.

My recommendation: the http://baka-tsuki.net translation project. Although there are a few minor screw-ups (Translators too lazy to translate a line and yet submitting it as complete... things like that) they've finished translating all 9 novels.

I see.Thank you for the info.
Note:The copy of the novel were mainly sold out here, its a bestseller.

More viral marketing data is beginning to surface.
In English, she wrote: YUKI.N > If you are reading this, I am probably no longer myself.
YUKI.N > When this message appears, it means that you, me, Suzumiya Haruhi,
Asahina Mikuru and Koizumi Itsuki have all been gathered here.
YUKI.N > This is the key. You have found the answer.
YUKI.N > This is the Emergency Escape Program. To activate it, hit the "Enter" key, otherwise,
hit any other key. Once activated, you will be given a chance to repair the space-time continuum.
However, neither success nor your safe return can be guaranteed.
YUKI.N > This program can only be executed once. Once it is executed, it will be deactivated.
Should you choose not to activate it, it will also be deactivated. Are you ready?
Since even the dates of these events are corresponding to the timeline of novel four, and given that the above passage is from the same novel, I think it's safe to expect which story arc will be animated next.
