Project Haruhi

Well, I'm wondering how every one of you guys came across the Anime / Novel of Haruhi Suzumiya =o

I learned about the Anime last summer due to a friend, as for the Novel I recently (like a week ago) started reading it thanks to Panda's help.

What about you guys?

I was in IRC and somebody mentioned it. While watching the first two episodes, my friend just goes 'Haruhi's god LOLOL'... I moaned at him for all of an hour... until I realised it wasn't actually THAT bad a spoiler xD
The Novels I started reading shortly before joining this site. Now I'm just a Yuki fanboy... how book 4 degrades people.

Though anime and its fame

Somebody mentioned it in an aside comment on a forum I no longer frequent, and I snagged the first three episodes (which was the entirety of the series at that point). Episode four hooked me hard with its 'lolwut' factor. I found out about the novels and read them as they were being translated, managing to finish the first one before the series finished. Ah, nostalgia...

I was on a small, low-populated forum I used to frequent. We had an Anime/Manga thread. I said I was bored and wanted to watch something new (bored of the basic DBZ, Naruto, One Piece that I was used to back then) so somebody mentioned it. He described its "lolwut?" factor as well, saying it was beyond random (due to the fact that he watched it in broadcast order.) I remember him saying how in, like, the 3rd or 4th episode, Koizumi's in it but you aren't introduced to him. And they just randomly play baseball for no reason.

I watched a few episodes, but then forget about it. Then, in July 2007, I saw a Megaman version of Hare Hare Yukai, tracked it back to the original, remembered about Haruhi, watched all the episodes many times over, then read the novels. And I've been obsessed ever since.

Although I was originally a Nagato fanboy, reading novel 4 did indeed multiply that.

Yessss book 4 breeds Nagoto fans. It truly does! Non Nagato obsessives... you just WAIT for S2 ;D

Heh... a forum I used to frequent went by the ideal that 'we are all one... the administration is a being in itself'. I guess that kind of thing stops people talking to a certain staff member because they're more lenient.

All Region 1 DVDs; Only my PC'll play them. Which kinda destroys the reasoning behind them... since the fansubs are on it anyway.

About a week ago I was bored so I asked a friend of mine what good anime I could watch. Watched it and now its my favourite anime... He did say Lucky Star to begin with but blue haired people scare me...

Konata's not THAT scary. Actually... you're betyter off having watched haruhi first... there's SO MANY references.

Konata? i love her since she look just like me 10 years ago lol. Now i start to draw and study too much that i even forgot to play games. Look like that i even study and drawing all the way than play games for just 20 minutes

My time's spent drawing pretty much all day... though that includes the fact that I do an art course for 4 days a week. Otherwise I hang around on forums (mostly here...), watch anime, read and... well... draw some more.
