I've seen that before... it's rather impressively done. I may try it myself in the future.

Wait...WHAT???

Can it be TRUE?

The confirmed 'rerun' has... TWENTY EIGHT EPISODES!

That's the 14 we're familiar with and 14 we're NOT.

Yet to see whether the two series' are going to be mixed or the second will start immediately after the first.

I certainly hope it's the latter.

interesting....whens the air date? they keep saying april....april but WHEN. ITS APRIL ALREADY!!!!

....oh god I hope that episode count is accurate...

..oh. April 8. right.

Supposedly the first has aired already... the already known Adventures of Asahina Mikuru 00. Or at least that's what I read upto before thinking 'hang on' and going all fangirly.

The episode count is accurate. However... whether that's 14 new episodes or, not completely unlikely, TWO reruns I couldn't tell you.

they wouldnt...would they?

run the original format then run HD for season 1 = 28 episodes?
or original format random episodes then run them again in order in HD?

aargh....

Frickin hell it might actually happen. They best not just rerun it twice. That'd be both pointless and would basically make me hate Haruhi completely... It'd be enough to do that.

You could never hate Haruhi. Just the state of the franchise.

I could. I'm a very drastic person. I could never hate Tsuruya though... I need confirmation of season 2!

if this doesnt turn out to be season 2 stapled to the back of season 1 rerun, i am going to troll the internet to get all the facts as to why. copyright issues, money issues, blah blah.
kadokawa would take most of the blame...could never blame haruhi...

there's a good reason it's not haruhi

she's a fictional character

This is getting tooth grindingly frustrating.

That said... as put by one rather hopeful commenter:
the closer we get to the truth the more they try to silence us. it’s coming…

i wish kadokawa would just give it up. the series air date is close, so if it is season 2 stapled to the back of s1 or watever, then get the crowd revving! Release some funky previews and get the interest back up to fever pitch! Because that is what we are all waiting for. Our world would be going beserk in anticipation, think of the money these guys could be making...but alas no. Gag orders for everyone, compliments of some jerk.

The fact that the media hype hasnt happened, with kadokawa insisting tv channels keep their mouths shut makes me wonder if season 2 even exists. but then again why gag is there is nothing to gag? Unless the gagging is only aimed at slowing down the fanbase's realisation that s2 doesnt actually exist, therefore leaving enough time for head executives at kadokawa to escape and get on that flight to *undisclosed* country until the furor dies down (which would be NEVER :x ).

(From Sankakucomplex.com) Just when fans thought they had secured some reliable evidence of the existence of the Haruhi second season, Kadokawa has moved to scotch them.

Now we hear that lynchpin broadcaster Saitama TV is issuing a categorical refusal to comment on the series, after only days ago having confirmed with other broadcasters that the series would have 28 episodes.

The broadcaster will now only answer with the request to instead see the official Haruhi homepage. The immediate suspicion is that Kadokawa has moved to gag broadcasters from revealing any details regarding the anime.

Although the suggestion that new and old episodes will be mixed together or broadcast back-to-back is not directly challenged by this development, it does rather suggest that the broadcasters, in providing useful information to viewers, contravened Kadokawa’s policy of issuing only ambiguous or misleading information.

Currently the major possibility appears to be that Kadokawa was hoping to keep all disinformation control centered on its official channels.

We might speculate that some contrived marketing gimmick relying on generating word of mouth publicity is planned, or that an unusual or unannounced entry into the new episodes is due.

Considering how the marketing has been handled so far, anything seems possible. Dark whispers of a simple re-repeat in the alternative airing order following the first 14 episodes have even been heard…

Kadokawa’s marketing approach to the Haruhi appears to be to sow as much confusion and distrust as possible whilst delivering as little as possible. Few productions have ever been marketed with so little respect for those attempting to follow them…

Why do they keep on doing this???
All this nonsense over an animated series??

Well if it was Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter or the like the world would be incensed

But It's only Haruhi..

Damn right!! It's only Haruhi then where do these greedy **********! go next...

Money's tight and it still talks ..
Our Japanese friends should be made aware that Bull S**t Walks and if they keep this BS up their sales will walk somewhere else...

Personally, I'm getting really tired of the same old BS ....

The more I think about it, the more I think there is no season two imminent. If kadokawa had made a new glossy series, they would be dropping marketing stuff everywhere.

However....my last glimmer of hope, and the reason for the gag order, was kadokawa were originally going to start a countdown once the re-airing of season 1 was underway. But, against their wishes, the amount of episodes gets leaked out, before they could get control of things their way. If so, they are being naive.

I personally dont put much stock in this glimmer of hope, believing infact the gag order was just to save kadokawas asses before any season 2 hype got too out of hand and disappointed fans start sharpening pitchforks.

I guess imma have to let Shami walk on all that swearing :p

heh

Anyway, yeah. HAH... I was about top correct 'kyo-ani' to kadokawa then.

Damn...

Anyway... far too late for them to think their backsides safe. They've caused far too much crap. The pitchforks should be sharp enough by now.

Mine was sharpened on stone, then gauze, then cloth. Then I went for silk... but it wasn't enough.

So I sharpened it on the sunrise.
