K-ON!

Wait, there are people who watch anime other than mine? I guess you can talk about them here then...

This weeks episode revolves around the school festival, and by all accounts probably my favorite to date. Saturday morning K-on! sucess, funny, pretty good story, predictably good net result and a happy buzz-like feeling left over as a reward.

mio this week is very very nervous about their first concert, and since yui has lost her voice through too much practicing the vocals, it all falls down to mio to sing. She tries to gather support from the girls through practicing, but they are all caught up the entire morning before the concert doing their class activities (haunted house and yakisoba cafe). Thankgod sanako comes to the rescue with very very cute costumes for the girls to wear (very win), although this doesnt help mio very much. ritsu pulls mio out of her slum and they peform on stage, not a bad song either. we get treated to a little music video as well.

only problem with the series is that it is constantly centered on mio, not yui who probably was originally the main protagonist. we havent seen anyone else's sisters but yui's, anyone else's rooms but yui's etc, yet mio is decidedly the central drawcard for this series at the moment.

I dont think mio can support this series for its entire run, if so then it would quickly be forgotten.

and I see, maikeru, that you have changed your avvie and sig. caught the mio bug too, eh? :)

I prefer Ritsu to Mio. Mio's far too generic, as I said before. Ritsu's nice and hyper. And I've decided I like her drum kit now. I want one myself now. Too bad the cheapest's £1500...

Not yet. I will do eventually though. Probably won't be able to find any sheet music for it. I seem to always be totally off if I try to learn something by ear. So y'know. Either video or sheet music given and I'll be away.

You all are crazy. The best instrument ever created in the clarinet. It has the largest pitch range of any woodwind. :3

There's an old joke we used to tell in band class...

They say that, when a guy can't play an instrument, they give him two sticks and make him a drummer. When he can't play the drums either, they take away one stick and make him the conductor.

It's a joke... there's no 'point' you need to get.

And it's true that drumming requires less grip on music than most instruments.

Ritsu bores me.

I'd rather Mio as she'd be happy to be hugged constantly, methinks. I tend to go for tsundere for that reason... even in real life.

Actually, the piano has a larger pitch range than the clarinet. I said the clarinet had the largest range of any WOODWIND. The piano is a string instrument.

Just because we like instruments doesn't mean we can necessarily play.

Or, at least, that's the case with me.

Its a bit weird how you presume others can play yet leave out one of the people who can actually play an instrument... A band can have 2 drummers!

I'd say the perfect band should have 2 drummers, 2 bassists, 2 guitarists, one the lead, a vocalist, a violinist and a remix version of every track.

Speak for yourself, Panda-chan. I can play the clarinet just fine.

Although I am a bit out of practice...
