Saki

Wait, there are people who watch anime other than mine? I guess you can talk about them here then...

Anybody watching this show? I think it's absolutely hilarious... plus it has plenty of fanservice. Of course, I have no idea how to play Mahjong...

Apparently neither do they:

I would love to learn to play this style of mahjong. Mostly after seeing a strip version in Girls Bravo, mind. That episode (and entire anime) was so much win.

My theory on that is they don't pay enough attention to the mahjong because they're paying so much attention to the animation. Seriously, it's really good... far better then *cough* certain other shows this season.

I've not even bothered starting on K-ON... FMA looks set to be a disappointment, after watching the first episode, also. May have a gander at this then.

Both this and Shangri-la seem pretty promising, nyaa.

i watched ep 1.

Besides being interested in how they play, and comparing it to how my family plays, this episode got pretty boring. Flashy scenes and muted gasps when players put tiles down on the board just got tedious pretty quick. Sure its got fanservice, but if i want that I'll just go watch nagasarete again or clannad or any others for that matter.

i loved how over-the-top it was. It almost seemed like they were parodying the typical shonen game show.
