Chips are the small round counters used to symbolise money when playing poker, mahjong etc.

The fact that that tiny side comment can derail an entire thread bothers me...

The manga's been out longer than the anime... This show's awesome. Anyone seen the dub yet? Some of the characters seem a fair bit off...

I cant express my hate for english dubs in this forum cos it would be full of ****'s
in my opinion, all dubbing should be banned, cos every example ive seen sucked ****

The fact that dubbing brings in a lot of fans kind of makes dubbing carry on. Also, when I'm lazy, I can't be arsed to read so I watch the dubs... Saves my eyes from becoming too tired. And some dubs are good. Only reason people don't like dubs is because of the likes of 4kids that muck 'em up far too much. Really depends who dubs 'em. The Lucky Star dub's pretty good after watching some more episodes. Once I've gotten used to the voice differences anyway...

I'll watch dubs if i haven't seen the subs. Watching them interchangeably just hurts D:

it is painful.
for most of the dubs ive seen, the english speaking actors (if you could call them that) just read off a script. and then there is the language barriers, most of the time anything that is funny in a subbed episode seems to be lost in translation, or just removed all together...
