The DC Animated Universe, or DCAU, is a common continuity shared by several shows that aired from 1992 to 2006. It included the following shows:
--Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995)
--Superman: The Animated Series (1996-2000)
--The New Batman Adventures (1997-1999)
--Batman Beyond (1999-2002)
--Static Shock (2000-2004)
--The Zeta Project (2001-2002)
--Justice League (2001-2004)
--Justice League Unlimited (2004-2006)
Other DC-based shows have intentionally been left out of the DCAU, such as Teen Titans, Legion of Super Heroes and The Batman. Given that the DCAU seems to have ended with the finale of Justice League Unlimited, and that The Batman will feature a new, redesigned version of the Justice League in upcoming seasons, is there any possibility that the DCAU could return? Is there a future for the Justice League, or will we have to be content with the subpar Kids-WB stuff we're getting now?
