That's my favourite crisis-based video.
Anyway...
'don't think ive seen graphics like this EVER'
Never watched the Transformers film, or a lot of recent sci fi/fantasy films?
3D modelling is more or less perfect now. Humans look dead if you make them too realistic... but anything else can be made to look amazing.
Games are limited to a certain graphical out put so that they're render in realtime. That said... they are getting a lot better. Final Fantasy 13 and Crisis look amazing.

Re: Crysis - engine
behold cry engine 3
fu fu fu
ive played it on max, kinda invested in an 8800GTS and it was awesome. Certainly there has not been a game since with such a dynamic 3D engine, but at the same time that was the games downfall. 4GB of ram was a must because the pc must work so hard constantly rendering individual shadows, mipmaps and other jargon which I know not much of. Something about how the textures were applied made the game leagues ahead, but inaccessible to all without a good GFX card. And at that point, besides ogling the graphics, there wasnt much to the game. Lots of running.
Later on though, player can get hold of serious firepower and get to kick alien booty.

Re: Crysis - engine
well its coming to the consoles, so if you have a ps3 or a 360, prepare for some eye candy. that and FF13 seems to finally be on the horizon...

Re: Crysis - engine
I knew I bought an Xbox for something. It sure as hell wasn't for Tales of Vesperia.
Damn you, Namco.

My hand made desktop can only reach near max. But when the game become snowing and you have to fight alien (for those who played, you already known) the game become bit of laggy.

The Fight Had Just Begun
