TV SHOWS ~ Favorites?

Post by Kagami »

I hate medical procedures. I tried giving blood once...and kinda failed at the first hurdle.
But for some reason that doesn't stop me from watching medical dramas, then again there ain't any gore or real life itty gritty details to wonder about with TV.

Not that scrubs passes as a medical drama per se...but still, scrubs is totally awesome. Season 8 is underway or just finished. I'm way behind. Anybody else watch this show? Witty dialogue and I really like how there is memory, i.e. past events in past episodes are sometimes regurgitated and reminisced by the characters. Its also really really really funny.

And then there is How I Met Your Mother, the other show that is totally awesome.

Both shows are by far my favorite on TV at the moment, since they don't show anime on any channels that means it constitutes the only TV I watch at the moment...yup about 1 hour a week. Used to watch House M.D. but that has kinda gone downhill >.> and then there was Lost...

I remember taping DBZ and pokemon (early seasons) way back in year 7 so I could watch them after school. It took years for the early morning cartoons to work their way through dragonball, dragonball z and then GT (which was crap).

So...what TV shows do you sit down and watch, if you can be bothered and not rage quit at the first ad break which usually lasts 5 minutes every 5 minutes...

What are/where your favorites? Why?

The only show I seem to watch these days is Scrubs. I think I watched a whole season (about 12 hours) one day. Its good. Still not watched seasons 6, 7 and 8 though. Paramount and E4 seem to think people want to watch the 1st two seasons at the moment...

There are lots of shows I like... but the only two I'll sit and watch routinely are Dr Who, Heroes and Dexter.

Yes, they could as 2. The seasons are too short and far apart to count as 3. ='D

Used to be fairly up to date with heroes, but with this past season kinda gave up after ep 20. I reckon the producers are pushing it if they want another season, but they know they will get their money I guess.

Dr. Who is like Star Trek, only bad. Sure, it had few good episodes ("Dalek" and "The Impossible Planet" come to mind), but the rest were just horrible. I love David Tennant though.

My favorite show is Star Trek (obviously). As far as shows that are currently airing... I've seen the first few episodes of Fringe, and have been meaning to catch up. I also try to watch The Clone Wars whenever it's on. Aside from that, I mostly watch anime.

Ninja Warrior (Sasuke in Japan) is amusing, but the recent courses have been WAY too difficult. When none of your contestants gets past the second stage, you know you're doing something wrong...

I think I've found a new favourite show. For the last few days I've been watching Power Rangers Jungle Fury. Dunno why I started really, but its pretty fun. And the yellow ranger's fit... But thats besides the point. There's something oddly appealing about people dressed stupidly doing 50 flips in a row with explosions in the background... Its good.

I used to watch Power Rangers SPD and Dino Thunder a while ago... never seriously, just for a good laugh. I remember a particularly awesome episode of SPD where Anubis Kruger (as the black ranger) singlehandedly took out 100 enemies in an extended fight scene, using only a katana.
