Don't draw exactly what you see. Draw the pose and shape first. Add detail afterwards. Also... don't draw things the same. If you see a nice drawing of a squirrel... draw the same squirrel in a different pose looking carefully at proportion and positioning of features.

I'll expound on what I think Pandemonium is trying to say: your drawings aren't bad, but they lack a certain quality of craftsmanship to set them apart. Like he said, it feels like you're just drawing what you see - try drawing what you feel.

No, that's not what I mean. Your art has decent form (with a few small flaws), but it's devoid of any emotional connection.

Anyone can draw a pretty picture with enough practice, but an artist is one who can speak without words.

Check out Katya's stuff if you're still not getting what I mean.

I'm 17, I have ADHD, College life is messing me around and during the holidays I lose contact with friends. My mind's chaos...

But I'm quite calm. My little chaos is being put to use messing my room up >.>

...I should tidy it.

Aaaanyway. Yeah... thanks Nagato. My explanation WAS kinda confusing, in the end I gave up and posted it.

Heh... I was actually prying to point out that you're not the only person with these things. And, for this reason, you can't use it as an excuse not to improve.

If you're passionate, it's not necessary. You should be willing to accept criticism and act on it at all times.

You need to, it's necessary to improve. Take it with a pinch of salt.

It means you're jumping the shark by drawing before you're done writing.
