It looks pretty damned intact for something hit by a 7.62mm Russian round...

At least now Apple has a potential back up business plan...

Songs for the Slaughter: because it's easier when you don't have to hear the the wounded screaming.

Shouldn't that be 'So you don't hear yourself scream."?

Alright...this is turning a bit morbid...

Back on topic, though...it seems strange how the little things in life can save you. I'm amazed a (what I thought to be) plastic electronic device could stop a bullet...Nice of them to replace it, too.

Like I said on the Nation, the iPod's effect on the bullet was negligible. The body armor stopped the bullet... the iPod was just in the way.

It's still quite intact for something hit by a 7.62mm Russian Round. *shrugs*

In anycase, it's still amusing.

Well, unless it defied the immutable laws of physics, I'd say it was grazed by the round rather than hit dead-on.

The most amusing part of that story was reading the comments. Intellectuals arguing with idiots... always a funny sight.

All things considered it was just one more thing in the path of the bullet... as to its total effectiveness at stopping the bullet... talk to the armor...
Still it was admirable of Apple to replace it.
