I would also like to note that a person is allowed to take a properly prepared piece of Cat5e cable with a laptop as carry-on in an aircraft ....

What's even funnier is that I've been allowed on flights with far deadlier things... like cables... or alot of coinage...

Not as good as 4 pounds of coins in a sturdy tubesock. Not everything they let you carry into a plane is safe.
