The sad part is, if the Japanese people I know are any indication, their schools are worse. Of course, it's been a good 10 years or so since they've been through elementary school, but still...

i walk in the door, its pissing down with rain outside and I am soaked.
sister notices me walk in, takes her ipod earphones out of her ears and asks 'oh, is it raining outside?'
my annoyed response is 'no, its perfectly sunny. i just enjoy randomly soaking myself'

nah sometimes its hard to understand the meaning of a word purely through looking at a dictionary
