This topic is for discussion about
Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
This is my
Jedi Academy character, Jaden Korr. I hope to emulate her appearance in The Old Republic. She's a female
Zabrak. For some of the screenshots below, you can click on them to see a bigger version.

Who says a Jedi can't be sexy?

I'm not quite sure what the facial tattoos mean... but they look cool.

Anticipating trouble, Jaden ignites her lightsaber.

Jaden among the other Jedi students at the Jedi academy on Yavin 4.

Another shot of Jaden at the Academy.

Jaden on Hoth, sporting cold-weather gear.

Jaden uses Force grip to telekinetically lift enemies...

...and hurl them to their doom.
Now you have to show us your Twi'lek Jedi, Stilts.

Ryoko, your Jedi kinda looks like she is wearing fetish gear... which is not a bad thing. ^_^

Fetish gear? I hadn't noticed that...
I redid all the above photos with a slightly different outfit color. Purple looks good on her.

Jaden shows off her biceps on Tattoine.

Wookie hugs... the best hugs in the universe.
Hmm, I think I'll turn up the game's brightness a bit...

I've split the Jedi Academy posts into their own topic. To those of you who are not playing this game yet... do so naow!
I tried turning the ingame brightness up, but the screenshots stayed dark. I guess the game reverts to default settings temporarily when taking a screenshot. I ended up lightening them in Photoshop and re uploading them to Photobucket. If the color is a little inconsistent from shot to shot, that's why.
Meanwhile, Jaden has been busy...

Jaden uses Force lightning to kill a bunch of deadbeats.

A lightsaber can be a powerful means of persuasion.

Jaden and
Kyle Katarn converse at the Academy.

Sithspit! It's a
rancor! RUN!

Feeling particularly suicidal today, Jaden prepares to battle the rancor.

Against all odds. the Jedi bests the beast. (Boo clipping issues...)

Jaden Korr, Slayer of Rancors!
Ok, I'll admit it... there's a trick that makes killing the rancor fairly simple. All you have to do is lure him to the tunnel (where the prisoners go to escape), and get inside the tunnel before he gets you. Then, you can stay out of range of his attacks while pummeling him with Force attacks and gunfire. Unfortunately, as soon as he dies, another rancor spawns...

Shouldn't the topic title be 'Jedi' Acadamy, not 'Jed'?
I've heard good things from a friend who was here a few minutes ago.

Title fixed.
As soon as Stilts posts shots of his Twi'lek Jedi, I'll put up some shots of Jaden's latest adventures.

I am not really into videogames, but this one does look fun.

There's a videogame for everybody, I guess.
Probably a game about hating games SOMEWHERE. Maybe for DS.

Well, since you asked...

This is my Jaden. She's a Twi'lek. In her free time, she likes pumping random scholars for information on cults.
...in hindsight, that might not have been the best choice of verbs.

This is her favorite finishing move. It typically hits them in the leg or chest, but there are rare occasions where the saber lands smack dab on the crotch.
I assume that would be an...unpleasant experience.

This is Jaden beating the crap out of a Sith while giving him a light show. There's no reason a killing blow shouldn't look fabulous.

Sometimes normal interrogation methods won't work. For those times, Jaden "enhances" the interrogation.

"I can probably take 'em," is what I said before the camera pulled back to reveal a couple dozen more.

I go out of my way to kill enemies in the most acrobatic way possible. And what's more acrobatic than doing a forward flip above them and jamming a lightsaber through their skull? Nothing!

Like I said. FABULOUS!

Oddly enough, enemies seem to have a really hard time blocking a crouch-roll attack. This is balanced by the fact that the move is difficult to aim.
Unless you're totally awesome like my Twi'lek, of course.
Join us next time when Jaden shows off her dual-wielding skills!

I tried my hand at making a Twi'lek Jedi...

I find your lack of pants sexy.

Sorry, no lapdances from this Twi'lek.
I still prefer the Zabrak species over the Twi'leks. Speaking of Zabraks... here's Jaden in alternate colors, finishing off a Sith cultist.

Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the yellow lightsaber!
For some reason, I really like the way the yellow lightsaber looks. I'll probably finish the game on Padawan difficulty with Purple Jaden, then do it again on Jedi difficulty with Yellow Jaden.
Coming next: More of Purple Jaden's exciting adventures!

Since Yellow Jaden has pretty much almost beat the game on Jedi difficulty, I'll just post screenshots of her from now on. As usual, you can click on the images for a larger version.
"Jaden reporting. The stormtroopers have been... disarmed. Heh heh heh..."

"Can anyone tell me what is the point of this giant green energy beam? ANYONE?"

DON'T CROSS THE BEAM!

"Lightsaber? Where are you going, lightsaber? Why are you leaving? I THOUGHT WHAT WE HAD WAS SPECIAL!!!"

Luke Skywalker promotes Jaden from Apprentice to Jedi Knight.

"Hmm, I wonder if he's friendly."

"...I guess not."

"It's all for the best. My lightsaber would have given you a nasty case of heartburn."

Such a beautiful place to die.

"Well well, look who's back. It doesn't look like the Sarlacc had too adverse an effect on you."

Boba Fett challenges Jaden to a battle...

...and instantly regrets it.

"Yeah, that's right! You'd BETTER run, Mandalorian slimo!"

Luke summons all the Jedi to the Academy to give them their final mission...
To be concluded soon...

How old is this game? The graphics look very nice.

It came out in 2003, so it's not that old. Lucasarts always makes games with amazing graphics.

2003 just doesn't feel like 6 years ago.
I feel like the graphics should have been better for 2003.

Remember, back in 2003 we were still playing with our Gamecubes, Playstation 2s and Xboxs. Back then, Halo and Metroid Prime were still new and fresh. Ah, I remember those times... now I'm getting all nostalgic.

So You can excuse me for thinking them bad, right?
