Hmm... maybe it's time I stop bragging about my Cintiq and draw something cool (not that the stuff I've been doing on MSN isn't) with it. xD

I am far far too lazy to do any inking. Mainly since digitally, it requires too much work. And you do not want to see my last attempt to ink something on paper.

Maiya Hisau, Fate/Zero (05/06/08)
Got bored, sketched at random, and gave it Maiya's (from Fate/Zero) hair. It ended up alot cuter than I expected. Sandwich eating was based off Tohsaka Rin's picnic scene in Unlimited Blade Works scenario. Arguably, it looks alot like Arcrueid Brunestud from Tsukihime too.

Random, Nothing in particular (05/06/08)
Just something random for the megane-ko fans. Used Maiya's hair because it was simple and kinda cute.

Not entirely. It's more of "overlaying different character styles Im used to to one another."

Last one for example is basically a mesh of how I drew things on Maiya Hisau (Fate/Zero), Servant Rider (Fate/Stay Night) and Arcruied (Tsukihime) into a single character.

Maiya Hisau, Fate/Zero (15/06/08)
Been reading through Fate/Zero again (finally got volume 4 last week). Just *HAD* to do another one of Maiya. Business suits are harder to draw than they look. The suit is actually Bazett's from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, since the artwork only ever shows Maiya in 1 outfit, and hell, both Kiritsugu and Saber were wearing business suits already, thought I'd do it for variety. Women's business suits are harder to draw than they look. *mutters something about the seams*

I believe someone asked at 1 point regarding how I go about drawing things. this time, pics of it from multiple phases.

1) I very lightly produce an outline of what what I want. These will generally be the general look of what I'm drawing

Image

2) I then start adding in details and darkening the outline, changing slightly to conform to details.

Image

3) I work on the smaller shading details like the creases and folds. This way I dont complain about them being a pain later.

4) Shade it for general colour tone.

Twas i who asked.

I was curious as to whether or not you used a structural base to draw around, as i do.

When I draw, it starts out as a vaguely humanoid shape that gets fleshed out and features added.

I was supposed to recieve a pack of #2 pencils?

And yes, it does generally start off as a general "vaguely person-looking thing" (wearing vaguely clothes-looking things). Then details get lightly added in until im happy with the general feel of it. Then starts the tracing in and detailing ~_~

On most humans the centre of balance is the naval. When drawing a good trick is to draw a line down from it and distance the feet the same in either direction. or... on one foot... ON the line.

I still find it funny how that drawing was initially inteded to be Maiya Hisau in a suit. Somehow, it ended up resembling Elena from FF7 as well. And maybe Maria Tachibana from Sakura Taisen if her hair covered an eye. I chalk this down to people in suits with short hair generally resembling one another.
