Those of you who have been following me on Twitter know that I’ve recent been posting lots of ero-pics of poor Mio, as part of a collective attempt to get #AkiyamaMio trending. Well, it turns out Mio herself was so incensed by these lewd images that she’s joined Twitter herself. Originally, she joined just to tell me off, but I think she’s actually starting to get addicted to the joys of tweeting. Everybody head over to her profile and give her a warm welcome! I’m still going to keep posting ero-pics of her, by the way… OW! OW! Fine, I’ll stop! GEEZ!

Haruhi Gum Transformation Extended Version

Apparently, Lotte’s new Haruhi transformation gum is so popular that they’ve revamped their website with a Haruhi theme, as well as posted an extended 30-second cut of their famous Acuo gum ad. It even features a… er, surprise cliffhanger ending.

A clean version of the original 15-second version can be viewed below the break.

It seems you can’t go wrong with Haruhi product tie-ins. Personally, I’m hoping for some Kyonko-themed pajamas. Make it happen, Japan!

Haruhi vs. Invader Zim!

This fan-made trailer for a Haruhi vs. Invader Zim crossover has been making the rounds recently.

It’s quite well-made… I hope this inspires somebody to make a full-length Haruhi/Zim mashup. A recent Lotte ad has also been quite popular lately, claiming that their new Acuo gum gives you fresh breath powerful enough to transform ordinary people into Haruhi characters.

Man, I wish MY cat would turn into a sexy catgirl. Where can I buy some of this gum?

One of the latest offerings from Goodsmile is the “Red Rose Cavalier” Seena, from the JRPG game Shining Wind. Before I delve any further into bluster about how I have already preordered Seena, it should be known by you, dear reader, that she is based on designs by the well known manga artist Tony Taka. Know of him? You should. A simple google search will “reveal” a huge amount about this fellow and his art. Explore his world, if you will, but be warned: you can never turn back. K-ON!! is coming!

The second season of everybody’s favorite moeblob slice-of-life anime premiers this week. Since about half of our staff loves K-ON!! and half utterly loath it, I’d say this is going to be an interesting spring season here on Project Haruhi. Personally, I’m looking forward to this show; the first season was a lighthearted and enjoyable (if shallow) offering, and there’s no reason to suspect the second season will be any different. How about you, dear readers? Are you excited… or are you planning on hiding in your moe-proof bunkers until this storm blows over?

Incidentally, if you’re so inclined, you can follow the REAL Ritsu on Twitter. She’ll be keeping us up-to-date on the latest K-ON!! news, merchandise and fanart… provided she remembers tweet regularly. I’ll remind Mio to crack the whip on poor Ricchan. Also, a more in-depth discussion of K-ON!! can be found on our forums.

We’ve been online three years

April fools day 2007 was the day we decided to go live with this site and in the three years we’ve been around a lot of things have happened. We’ve witnessed a second season, movie and Endless Eight. However the future seems pretty dark for this series, yes I know the Second Season is coming over to the U.S. and the Movie will be in English one day as well. As you can see in the past months we’ve changed the look of this site gearing up for the day when Haruhi might not be popular, there are some who say that day has come, maybe it has, I don’t think it has but…

I’m hoping to be here for the long run however long that run might be… Happy third birthday to us. Although coming from myself it might seem a bit self-serving.

Our prayers for a speedy recovery go out to Miss Aya Hirano… You’re missed already…
To Miss Christina Vee, one day you’ll be Haruhi… Right now the establishment doth calleth the shots…
