Novel Review?

Any chance we could get you to write a review of the first novel, Nagato? I'm pretty sure you're the most familiar with them... and I'd really like to read your opinion before I plunge headfirst into reading them. How about it? :D

Well, if you want the short version of a review of the novels: read them now, read them hard.
There's a reason it's held my attention for eight volumes and I'm foaming at the mouth waiting for the ninth volume. I'd just try reading it in moonspeak, but I'm waiting for the tenth volume to drop so I can ship them all at once and cushion the financial blow.

I suppose I could at least do a review for the first volume, but I'm already juggling college enrollment, buying and selling a car, translating a manga on my own, writing a novel of my own, and trying to chip in on a visual novel translation whenever I find myself inclined to do so. I'd have to reread most of the material to write a proper review, and I'm kinda full up at the moment.
If no one else steps up to the plate, I'll probably get around to it once I finish with my cars and get started on college. Although I hear free time becomes somewhat of an alien concept once you enter an institution of higher learning, we'll see how it goes.

At least I finally got the relevant life form data finished :D

About volume 4.....

Warning, spoiler ahead !!


Spoiler:
In the end of that volume, Kyon go back (again) in the past to correct Yuki who modified the World because of a bug in her OS. Kyon is attaqued by Asakura before I can use the vaccine.

Latter, Koizumi say to Kyon that he felt in the stairs during Christmas eve celebration but Kyon wasn't there to begin with ! How is that possible ?

And how did Mikuru come back at that time with Kyon to save the other Kyon ? Since the World wasn't fixed at that time, Mikuru should still be a normal human.
It's rather confusing ^^ Even with the other part in the beginning of volume 7....

Anyway... The stairs: Yuki changed it... but Kyon never experienced this as himself... so has no memory of it. You could call the one that fell a 'dummy' Kyon.

Mikuru: It's now predetermined fate that they shall return.

There are now two planes of existence (&Yuki's amazing no? Creating an entire, stable, new world.)... the one with human Yuki... and the one with Alien Yuki. They overlap at the point where Yuki creates her counterpart... umm...
I'll edit later... I've got to get back to work. Writing this at college.

If I don't... I'm sure Nagato would be able to finish what I started.

I agree it's a very good part of the novels :D Loved how Kyon say to Yuki to relay a message to her boss :lol:

Yeah but what I was saying is that in lot of forums, there isn't a spoiler tag. We just use the rule "when you see the word spoiler, stop reading" and everything is fine :lol:

That's why I was surprised...

Board upgrade free, but it has a massive potential to cause errors. Our ever-lovin' admin will do it when he can be sure the upgrade will be stable and won't wreck the boards.

Don't forget the "classified information." A shame, because Mikuru is the only source whose information I would trust implicitly simply because she seems incapable of lying convincingly.

Personally I'm willing to trust Koizumi as far as I can throw him. (Depends on my choice of cliff i suppose)

Also I'd trust, yourself, Nagato Yuki, to the end of the Universe (which, as we all know, may be very soon.).
