Actually, i really like that. I'm a big Miku fan, myself, and that is actually now one of my favourites. Quite a few drawings I've done of her spread around online. Including on here.

And no, it's not off topic as long as it's relevant... which this is. The topic itself is just vague enough that almost any video like this would fit. >_>

That song was beautiful. The video was a little genre-experimental, but I think it turned out pretty good. I am curious how he (she?) made that CGI word-syncing though.

the singer (hatsune) is the most populer (my opinion) VOCALOID2 avater, VOCALOID is a japanese music system that allows you to make music with said voices

i believe the software aint free, from what i have read in the past its a european vocalist program that can model words to music, hence using miku's voice and writing out the lyrics and music to create her songs.

ive favorited that video btw, maikeru. good find. definitely better then leekspin (the polka one).....

It's not european, it's Japanese. :3

ok it seems i was wrong there (thankyou jasper...but in my defense i just didnt know all the facts)
the thing i was referring to was a PowerFX product which used yamaha's vocoloid2 engine to make a english speaking character called sweet ann. Crypton brought out Hatsune Miku.

But its a yamaha product which means eeeeeexpensive. and licensed to hell and beyond.

i reckon the program would be near useless to me anyway, i know diddly squat about writing music or vocals. Plus yamaha probably are keeping this card very close to their chests, as well as the actual developers of hatsune herself.

xsirhc, you don't have to be able to write music all it is, is a keybord on the side with all the notes (that you can click) and you simply draw a line (on a note) and write someting and there you have a (very computerized) voice singing what you wrote, and then you can ad affects to make it sound more human like low to high and a burst note etc.
its easy really ive seen it ^^'
