Well, it looks like the new Gundam series will be an anime adaptation of the Gundam Unicorn novels, according to ANN. Gundam Unicorn is set in the UC, three years after Char's Counterattack.
Kazuhiro Furuhashi, of Ruroni Kenshin fame, is slated to direct.

Sankaku Complex also has the story. According to the Complex, Gundam Unicorn will be 'animated this winter', which hints as a possible Spring or Summer 2010 release.

Well, currently all we know is that it's animated and it's coming out in Winter 2009. We're not sure what the exact medium is... it might be a movie, a series, an OVA or something else.

You're saying you hate every Gundam made after 1995? I guess you'll miss out on The 08th MS Team, which is probably the best Universal Century Gundam series to date.

That's a shame, since Gundam 00 is one of the most entertaining Gundam series to date and had one of the best main characters I've seen in Gundam (Setsuna is basically Heero done better, with a sprinkling of Domon). The plot gets ridiculous near the end, but it was almost always fun to watch. You're missing out, man.lazysunside wrote:yes

Anyway, I'm liking what I've seen of Unicorn so far, particularly the design of the Gundam's head. And after so much time away from it, it might be nice to go back to the UC universe. I wish I could talk more about it, but we still hardly know anything...
