Re: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
If we're really lucky, someone who works in the cinema might digitise and distribute the reel online. But that's be pretty unlikely, given that it'd require specialist equipment.

Been a few days since it went out in Japan. Anyone got an idea when it's coming out for English subs?

Tis fine... though if you could maybe mark the spoilerific nature more obviously in future. (I use the darksun purple theme and the word 'spoiler' doesn't really jump out that well.)

Welp, as they say: "The more you know..." :V
Anyway, has there been any change to the film's ranking as of late? just curious.

Re: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
On a semi-related note, why is it that everyone seems to think that Haruhi Season 2 is called "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya"? It's so annoying. D:

Re: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
I think the reason for the labelling of it as such is because, from memory, the second season was originally announced (unofficially I'm sure) to have the story of the "Vanishment"/"Disappearance" within the season, it being the main attraction of the next installment of the series, thus the fans (I assume) considered it to be a suitable title. It probably just stuck and no one's really bothered to propose an alternative.

Seems we have a camrip now~

Not that I would watch it. I want to experience the movie in it's "correct" form.
....maybe. XD

Re: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
I'm not going to watch a camrip. Such nice film-quality animation was meant to be watched in HD, so I'll wait for the blu-ray.

Just finished watching the movie.
I can't describe it too much without gushing like a romantic, so I'll say this:
Yes.

Re: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
I watched this the other day in some lovely quality which included some amazing background coughing among other things (breaking my almost year of not watching anime... yes, I don't know why I did it either). It was very good I thought. I hope to watch it in a more bearable quality at some point. Do we know when that will be yet?
