I could have sworn we already had a "Post Your Desktop" thread, but I can't find it. Ergo, here's a new thread!
Here's what mine looks like right now.
N-not that I have an obsession with Mio or anything...

What's that spinny program thing you have? It looks kinda like a Mac interface, but not really...

It's something call "Sliderdock"
It's a small program based of the ALTIMIT MINE OS desktop in .Hack.
You place EXE's in there, and scroll, and it spins, and you're able to open them by cliking.
I have it because i like having a clean desktop..
It's easy to download. Just search for it if you're interested.
You can also make you're own skins, if you're skilled enough in photoshop ^^'
-is not-

I'll post mine when I get my PC sorted.
That slider dock looks exceptionally useful, actually.

The stardock makes things much better in my opinion. Are you liking it? What about for your desktop icons, "fences" allows you to hide your desktop icons by double clicking on the background image.

Sliderdock is pretty useful. I tried Fences for a while, but found it to be entirely pointless.

yeah i have limited (one) use for it myself, and only on the laptop. My Dad on the otherhand, he loves it. Since his laptop docks at work it constantly resorts his icons to a 'default' sort, and drives him up the wall. With fences, they are locked in.

Gurren Lagann style Mario? Wicked.
Yeah Lazy, I use windows 7 as well, but that background change doesn't support dual screens, which is a pity.
I fully appreciate that I am a lucky star fan.

I'll beat Ritsu to the punch and say, no, Lucky Star is not the base of all Otaku sub culture. That comment probably was wrong in every way. Lucky Star is just one of my favourite anime's to date, and I like how it does play to what I would call my 'otaku' nature.

I like that wallpaper, Ritsu. I also approve of the desire to "go goth".

I thought you lot might like to see what I was given to work with for the last -insert however long i've had this netbook-...
so here it is, full resolution.
Actually... when I got the damn thing it had about half as much stuff on it as it does there and half of that didn't work at all. So much for my promise not to change anything. Even more so though...
since this is how it looks now .
Think they'll notice? :3

Could depend on the laptop you have but I think it aught to be the same process as for mine though (eeepc p701)... if so then:
1. open terminal, run as root... type in 'sudo synaptic'
2.in the new window go to 'settings -> repositaries'
Hit new and add this:
URI:
http://download.tuxfamily.org/eeepcrepos/
Distribution: (Mine was p701, but if yours is a 900 then it'll likely be that or whatever)
Section: main
3. Reload in the synaptics window and Scroll down on the right until you find 'advanced-desktop-eeepc' or something similar about an advanced desktop. Click and MARK FOR INSTALL.
4. Hit apply. Then press the power button and it should come up with a 'full desktop' or 'advance view' option.
Boom... standard style desktop.

Alright, time to bring some American flavor into this thread.
Also, I do like the look of Slider Dock.

Widescreens are pretty awesome. Although with the windows 7 machine I am sticking with the stock theme and taskbar.

Nice wall of Miku.
I tend to change my wall per month, but have had trouble finding a good background I like. May need some help finding something a) Lucky Star and b) AWESOME. Please?
