It's about a traveller called Kino and their talking motorbike Hermes. The two of them travel to different countries around the world staying at each of them for only 3 days.
This is one of my favourite animes out there, and despite what you might think given the premise for the show it's a very deep and thoughtful show. One problem with saying too much about it is that it'd spoil things for those who haven't seen it. Without being too specific it deals with things like war, democracy gone wrong, religious prophecy and a wealth of other subjects. It's still only a 13 ep series (if I recall correctly)
