Yup. For all you people who haven't read the novels (shame on you), that newspaper features events in Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody, arguably one of the best and most enlightening chapters thus far written.

Rumors are still running rampant, and it's hard to separate fact from fiction, but my current understanding is this:
Haruhi will air Fall '07

A yet unnamed (most likely FMP!) light novel adaptation will follow in Spring
CLANNAD has been pushed back to Fall '08

More news will be added as it surfaces. In the meantime, setup a lawn chair, pop a cold one, and watch as the internet explodes.

This announcement and the above images came from the Japanese Newtype August Edition. The official announcement on the main site is planned for 7/7/07. Also, there is no trailer yet; there was a trailer hoax going around but has long since been debunked.

Someone also said FMP season 4 to follow in the spring, if all thats true then half my anime prayers have been answered.

The remaining two of course are more Seikai and SOMEBODY LICENSE HONEY AND CLOVER GEEZ.

There's supposed to be an official press release tomorrow (meaning sometime tonight in the western hemisphere) from KyoAni, so I ask that we stifle speculation until then, as it's very confusing trying to sort out what's going on due to everyone on other sites neglecting to put the words 'maybe' and 'I think' in their posts.

No one knows what's really going on with the series and their order. I'd rather CLANNAD not get delayed, as it's just not nice to promise a series at a certain time and then push it back after pulling another one out of nowhere, but we shall see.

And where's the front page announcement? Do I need to drag catnip into this?

Remember, modifying the Mambo frontend can be a hassle. Because of certain limitations, it's impossible to post articles on the front page, just those large images I keep making. However, there is a second-season announcement image that may find its way to the front page once the official announcement comes down the pipe...

Or maybe not. Dare you question the almighty cat?

More information has come to light:

CLANNAD will be airing starting October 4th, meaning that Haruhi will likely be airing sometime in the summer, depending on CLANNAD's length and assuming Haruhi will immediately follow it.

Well, CLANNAD was announced first, and has been emphasized in their advertising, so it only makes sense.

No, they never confirmed another FMP! series.
