hehe, i feel lucky. But don't worry, i'll be saying that soon. After several years, but i like to study art so i don't really care since going to the art class is much fun for me already. Like going on a vacation except when deadline coming up, i'll look serious

melbourne in morning before the storm in april '08:

melbourne (down the road at mornington) that evening:

we had a fun day. no rain + wind = dust. then we get wind+rain = me no have internet for one week.

Indeed. It was the worst windstorm we had seen for a while, because we were unprepared. Dust was blown down from the north of the state. The entire city of 4mil ppl was stopped and we lost landlines for a week.

So, no casualties, then? from the lack of an injury count I'd assume not.

Mind you: Being a -fairly- well off country I'd assume storms, hurricanes, etc can be defended against better than most countries in the area. mijd you... America has money and has failed to protect it's inhabitants a few times.

England may be boring, but at least it's safe.

lack of injury count is on account of me not knowing.

And Melbourne has the mildest weather, believe me. Because of this, taxpayers and governments dont want to spend millions on storm prevention when said storm comes along once a decade...
