COSPLAY!!!

I need serious help for my first attempt at cosplaying. What I need is, firstly, a character to cosplay, then I can work on it from there.
Please leave suggestions, it will help me so much!!

We might need some specifics such as your gender (I think you're male but just to be sure), what you look like (no point telling you to go as say Vincent Valentine from FFVII if you have neither black, long hair or want to dye your own), what anime you like and so on. We can't really give suggestions if you're going to turn them down because you've never seen the anime or something.

All i need is a navy green jacket (may be double breast) and a grey pant. White shirt and red tie. With a little North High logo. Then Haruhi thing on your head

As for the OP:

Suggest some of the anime you like and we'll see what character we think you should do from those.

Also... would you cross-play? may seem an unlikely thing... but as mentioned, I'd do it. The thing is that, unless you're a big shinen manga/anime fan, there aren't many male characters that stand out.

It really depends what you like. i tend to lean towards harem anime... where the characters are made to be normal. It gives the 'oh, so if all this can happen to such a boring, crappy person... I'm well in' thing.

Anime like Full Metal Alchemist or bleach are based on unaverage guys... so they're made to stand out more.

oh... incidentally... I intend to cosplay as roy Mustang from FMA at some point. (Unfortuantely that would require cutting my hair... i suppose the crimson alchemist, or Al would do. I'd prefer to have my hair done as is supposed to be... rather than wear a wig. Not that that's really bad.) =D

I originally thought Lazy was a girl actually. Until he started getting annoying. Then I realised it was the annoyance of a guy. Anyway!

I reckon you should cosplay as someone from a shonen anime as the male characters in them are more prominent than in other anime. Maybe someone from Bleach or Naruto. Problem is that, to make an impact, you either have to go as someone relatively unknown or be original in the design of the outfit. A lot of people cosplay as someone like that so maybe something Japan-only at minute? I can't say any specific characters at minute but meh. Most of you have probably worked out I'm typing this crap to stay on topic. I'll stop now until I have any real suggestions.

I'd say, from what you look like, maybe Ishida from Bleach or Mikami from Death Note. Only two I can think of who you kinda look like.
