Strike Witches
Alright, back from my vacation, I'm pleased to find out the only show I was anticipating for this season is airing in youtube and crunchyroll. Not pleased, was its on a limited time basis only.
Why is this in mecha? Because of the very nature of the show. It was created due to the immense popularity of Mecha Musume, or in other words, those girls with arms, limbs, body parts created from machines and the overall look based on existing military machines.
Plot wise, it is similar to another mecha series, Gunparade March, which I enjoyed so much. Rampaging alien forces lead normally combative nations into international cooperation. Except this time, its still set around the 40s and 50s if we can stretch it that way. Okay, here's how its different from Gunparade March. First off. It was written for the demographic that watches Mahou Shojo Lyrical Nanoha. I kid you not. Then, it goes to mil otakus. Like me.
The second way is, its more magic than superbly advanced hydraulic, Humanoid Walking Tanks. So...Enigmatic Aliens? Check. How to fight them? Well, the series main character's dad (say that 20 times fast) created the trump card. Now...episode 2 has appeared. You might want to either wait for fansub groups just rip them from crunchyroll and post them on their own sites, cos if you didn't catach episode 1, that's the only way you can watch em.
For now, I give you a picture of my beloved. The Krauss-Waffei-Wegmann Leopard 2A6. Used by the German Army and other European Armies and being bought by Canada and other non-European countries. I'll let you guess why she isn't an A6M model. *hehe*
Enough talk, here she is.
Clicky Clicky
Sorry...she's mine...
Anyways, if you're into stuff like this, the plot ain't that bad.

Re: Strike Witches
So I finally get bored enough to watch some of it...
...and in the first 4 minutes there's more panty shots that the first half of battle vixens book 1.
So watching this series.

Re: Strike Witches
So we have a countdown to an announcement on the strike witches official website!
This could be something else... but the general consensus is that they're announcing the second season's start date, or at least that it's in production.
>>HERE<< is a slightly more in-depth explanation.
Here's hoping for the best! 8D
