PPL here is some reading material. In my search for translations for those newtype scans I have come across numerous forums.

I'm expecting an out-of-the-blue release and novel 10 release along with it. Both are far behind schedule.

Incidentally; the second link seems to be fairly questionable, but I'll trust it out of sheer hopefulness :p

Did you see this rumors ?

Apparently Tanigawa, author of the Haruhi novels, is the sole reason why there hasn't been a season 2 animated. He wasn't satisfied with the amount they were paying him given how much revenue the show generated, so he refused to give the producers (kyoani) the rights to air any more episodes.

Kadokawa is in negotiations with Tanigawa, and threatened to refuse to publish any more novels until he greenlighted the show. He still hasn't given in, and now the latest novel is "TBA", even though it's been supposedly finished for months.

now that pisses me off. excuse me. its always coming down to something like this. either kyo-ani is tight cos they dont spread the love, or the author is tight cos he sees how much money is being generated, and wants a bigger piece of the action. either way we lose.

yosh another haruhi fan. post in the introduction forum, why dont ya? but yeah, season 2 is either heavily under wraps or i hate to say it...non existent...
i mean, if it actually existed, there would be some spoiler leak somewhere? sure there was that cover of newtype mag a few months ago...but there hasnt been anything since then.

There was an S2 but they cancelled it. Instead, they want to do something else but nothing leaked out.... Except for thoses tiny youtube vidéos.

Well, they would be pretty stupid to not produce something that at least uses the 4th novel as material right? I mean it's like a money fountain. If they do something stupid, they would most likely die from crazy Haruhi-worshippers.

But I guess they just want to draw out as much money as they can. What I think is that they will start with it when the Haruhi-hype calms down.. So they can have more money.. -.-
I grant them the money, but seriously.. Gnah!

Agree's, (embarising thought) im having trouble memorizing hiragana. (even with a kanomoji sheet)

(anyway) im pretty sure theres a new serious being prepared (say a piece of info on wiki were there is a non collapsed bar saying "Haruhi Season 2" so mabye....sry if it is just me.
