I haven't read the latest chapter or two, it's getting better though. I only read the Manga, Anime is too long.

The story in the manga is pretty neat. Sasuke is fighting Itachi right now. wonder who will win. Look like that sasuke is winning though

Unfortunately I have not read the Naruto manga at all. I've only seen part of the anime. Being such a long anime and even longer manga it is one that I do plan on reading (& watching) but its on the back burner as there are still quite a few anime's and mangas that I want to get caught up on first (Bleach, etc). I'm very behind on the animes I want to watch...

I actually hate Naruto. I used to like it last year, but now I've realised its not very good at all. The story's not very built up, mostly using the old DBZ format of things. The techniques aren't original and most of them aren't explained at all. The only thing that's good about it is the character development, Rock Lee and Might Guy being the best two. But other than that its just another generic shonen manga...

and now madara has sasuke over his knee, but then again i reckon sasuke is smarter then madara.

at least the story arc has shifted for a definite showdown between naruto and sasuke now.
And naruto skitz out and attack pain now that hes learnt that jiraiya is dead?

cuz he weak. But in the end he will use nine tail or release it or learn Jiraiya skill

he'll probably figure out how to use the nine tails, without letting it control him. he doesnt want to hurt sakura again after all....

or he'll tranform into a nine tail freak. Sasuke kill him and reclaim(& pay back) Konoha the he'll marry Sakura. The end of Naruto
Naruto 2 come out. Naruto is still alive and make Atkasuki version 2 just to reclaim Konoha again

I doubt Sasuke will marry Sakura. He hates her after all. I reckon Naruto'll let the kyuubi become unsealed after Sasuke takes over konoha and he kills it with the same sealing technique as the 4th. Or something like that. Or he'll learn to control the Kyuubi and face off with Sasuke and win this time. Then he pronounces himself as the 6th hokage. Its crappy whatever though at the minute. Shoulda made Tobi Obito and then there coulda actually been a decent Kakashi-based storyline. Only one we've had so far is Kakashi Gaiden. This whole Madara thing just doesn't make sense.

not gonna happen. cos naruto and sakura...well its pretty damn obvious that in chapter 100003 or whenever theyl be together. sasuke has just turned into the brat naruto was at the beginning.

and i agree. there has been too little kakashi for the last 50 chapters. at least now he seems to be out of that hospital bed.

Didn't know Kakashi was in one to begin with... I stopped reading it for like 50 chapters. He really needs to do more fighting than he has been doing though. The last major one was with Deidara wasn't it? At the start of Naruto 2... That being the reason why I stopped liking it after Kakashi Gaiden. Not enough of the characters people actually like. Has Gaara actually done anything in it except die may I ask?

Gaara is alive and well. no longer a **** either. hes leader of the hidden sand village, kosakage or something (equivalent to hokage)

Kazekage. I know all that. He just hasn't done anything since... Its annoying that he was a main character but now they've almost forgetten about him.

too many important characters for 1 chapter release per week, and the story cant be too complex either

its been a while since there was a post in this thread;
Im still reading the naruto manga and so far it has been pretty good.

Spoiler:

Pain has been continuing his reign of destruction, after killing jiraiya and taking out all the kyuubi's. Now only naruto is left, and hes spent some time with ma and pa frog (or whatever), so now he has mastered the natural chakra as well as his wind chakra. Riding into the equation again is pain, and he wipes konaha clean off the map. The battle ensues...

it is so time for this pain guy to just kick the bucket. but when that happens that brings an end to the arc. and there has been no mention of sasuke for ages. so with pain goes akatsuki and a sizeable chunk of the total plot. i dunno what can happen next, except for a sasuke showdown...finally.
