It's a stupid question. The only question as far as consoles go is "Which one has more games that I want to play in a style I prefer playing."

In this case, niether of those 2. It's the PC. Unless I was forced to pick a console, then the Wii... just because of Fire Emblem, Zelda, Metroid and Smash Bros.

@lazysunside - Alright then, name PS3 games out there worth playing. Blind support is a stupid idea. Sony launching it without having any decent games for it was a pretty bad decision on their part, and the PS3 is suffering for it. Devs tend to prefer developing games on systems people actually have... so as to further the chance someone might actually, *gasp* buy and play their games.

Soul Caibur 4, Tekken 6, Final Fantasy, Haruhi(ps2), Battlefield Bad company, Call of Duty 4&5, Devil may cry, Imabikisō Resident Evil 5, Prince of Persia, Silent Hill, Tiberium, Yakuza 3... That's all

Most of the games I'd wish to play are available on XBOX 360 or both... so....

And the Haruhi one doesn't count as it's not a PS3 game. To could it has to be SPECIFICALLY PS3 or id defies the reasoning.

Given the option, I would say Wii, but since it's not there, I have to go with neither; I have neither, but lots of family have one or the other, and from what I've played of both, they're equally good, but I don't think I would buy either, for quite some time, at least, simply because of the price.

except for the fact that:
1: very expensive
2: you need reasonable (superdooper) TV + those damn component/whatever cables you need for 1080p

Speaking as an owner of a 360, PS3, Wii & an PC I've found that I tend to place my PC and 360 the most, followed by the Wii. I use the PS3 as a blue-ray player mostly and have actually played more PS2 games on it than PS3 games. The 360's online side of things is far better than either the Wii or the PS3's. I've also found that among some of my friends that they like the idea of the 'achievements' points that you can gain on the 360. Its purely a gimmick, but for more competitive type players its a nice goal setting to try for. Frankly I like being able to chat with any of my friends on my 360 while playing any game without having to pay long distance charges or run out my cell phone minutes. But a lot depends upon the type of games you like to play. For shooters (team & scrimish) I'd say 360. For family and get your butt off the couch fun type games then the Wii. If you love HD movies, RPG's and want an all in one entertainment system then the PS3 (They still need a lot more games for it though).

PS3's may or may not be flying off the shelves once Final Fantasy XIII hits sometime this(?) decade.

Give me a PS2 one. Uber graphics aren't necessary... it detracts from the Final Fantasy-ness in my opinion.

asked friends their opinion on 360vsPS3, apparently 360's are prone to overheating/dieing. A red light flashes 3 times on the front and its kaput. Anybody heard of this?
Also just played 'army of 2' on PS3 ~co-op, lots of fun, but thats out on 360 too

VII's the best imo. But anyway, back to the 360/PS3 debate. For me, in the near future, there are 2 games I want. One for PSP and one for PS3. Therefore PS3 wins it for me.

Apart from vis.novels (which i can just get on pc, usually) and Haruhi... i have no reason to own a ps3. The rest of what I actually play is availabe for XBox... cheaper.

now i personally find car simulators boring, since they require skills and patience, both of which i do not have.
But the GT5 prologue screenshots http://au.gamespot.com/ps3/driving/gran ... mages.html show off some suburb graphics on the PS3. The cars look absolutely stunning, especially the screenshots added a few days ago of a Ferrari F1. Cant wait to see an '08 M3 *drools*

I'd have to say, if i had the money, PS3 FTW. When I say money that is, add on the cost of a big Bravia LCD to get the best out of ur console and your talking big bux...something i dont have (damn car)

i'll stick with my PC since my friend has both the PS3 and the bravia, therefore ill just freeload off him and his fridge.
