The girl who did the motion capture for Hatsune Miku’s popular dance moves has been revealed… and it’s none other than 13-year-old idol Yui Ogura. Check out these videos of her!

The Yui's or Miku's?

They used a live model with motion capture to make the movement a lot more fluid. The same is used for films and high profile games.

Conventional rigging can only do so much, it ends up looking too unnatural. If you watch this miku her movements are far more fluid than most other videos.

It's my opinion that hair only really looks good up when in twintails or, in a few cases, like Ryoko asakura's hair.

I was going to tease you for being so picky, but then I realized that I'm almost exclusively attracted to girls with short hair. ^^;

Anyway, I watched the comparison video, which was pretty interesting. Miku still isn't really my cup of tea (as you could probably guess from the first sentence of this reply), but I can see the appeal.

Clear your cache, then try clicking that link.

Oh, and for future reference... next time, please upload those pics to Photobucket instead of hotlinking directly to them. Direct linking can cause all sorts of problems.

But... but but... that's Chiana from Farscape! She's too awesome for words!

That picture doesn't do her justice, I guess. Her personality and mannerisms make a huge difference also.

Though I do dislike her hair.
