In our defense, there’s a lot to like.

We’re once again back to business as usual here on Bakacast. Parasyte is still creepy, Yuri Kuma is still baffling (though mildly less than usual this week), the Magical Boys are still delightfully queer, Durarara is still…Durarara, and Maria is still prompting us to consider our place in society and how to enact lasting change. Also, I attempt to sell Megan on Yatterman Night by explaining how adorable Honorable Oda is.

Are you amazed that I actually got out of my house for once? You probably should be.

This episode of Bakacast was recorded in a San Antonio hotel that my friend Luke and I were staying at for PAX South. You’ll hear Luke chime in occasionally to give his thoughts on Sailor Moon and why witches shouldn’t be virgins. Other than that, it’s a pretty normal week for us. So far, the shows have maintained the same level of quality from the previous two weeks, so it seems doubtful that we’ll be dropping anything else. I will continue to complain about Yuri Bear Storm, though.

Do you need to talk about anything?

This is the calm before the storm, folks. The one week we have where we won’t be inundated by new shows. Enjoy how relatively brief this episode is, because it ain’t gonna last. Also, if you’ve ever wanted to hear Aaron getting mad about comedy preferences, this is the episode for you!

Oh, and it’s kind of ironic that–in the episode where I apologize about poor audio quality of the previous episode–this episode has poor audio quality. Turns out I forgot to change the bitrate settings for recording, so it got recorded at a paltry 32kb/s. Whooooops.
