Look, I just got, like, a billion games from the recent Steam sale.

So I’m just gonna skip this part of the post so I can get back to playing through this enormous backlog.

We cool? Yeah, we cool.

Look, I’m gonna be honest with you guys. It was probably possible for me to find album art that had something to do with the episode title I picked (which is the only one I could have possibly picked given the circumstances). But I really, really did not want to do that search.

So instead I picked a Christmas-themed image, because that’s far more pleasant to think about and look at.

And also because I’ll take any opportunity to shove some more Persona characters onto this website.

Bakacast – Koko Remains Loco

Instead of describing anything about this episode of Bakacast, I’m instead going to tell you what happened to me literally minutes before writing this post.

I take quite a bit of pride in my episode titles. I (usually) put a lot of time into thinking of good ones, and this work ethic extends to the short episode descriptions (which you should read to make me feel good about myself). After considering all the things we talked about, I decided the most appropriate title would be “Koko Is Loco.” So I recorded the opening stinger, put it in the ID3 tags and uploaded it to Libsyn. It was only as I was writing the title of this post that I started to wonder if I had used that title before.

Yes. Yes, I did. For when we talked about the very first episode of Jormungand.

This presented a problem. I had already recorded the stinger, and I really didn’t feel like recording a new one and re-exporting the podcast. So after a minute’s worth of thought, I opened up my ID3 tag editor again, selected the title and replaced it with “Koko Remains Loco.”

“Truly,” I thought, “I am a genius.”

JoJo may be dead, but his best bro (and chap with excellent taste in hats) Speedwagon lives on.

Though now that Erina’s become a badass, that leaves him as the meekest main character in the show.

And yes, I do consider JoJo’s great dane to be a main character.

On this episode of Bakacast, we review the long-awaited finale to Eureka Seven AO. Did it measure up to the quality of the rest of the series? Well, let’s just say we spend a few minutes just trying to unravel the time travel logic.

And it still leaves us baffled.

Unfortunately, Megan is busy with important stuff, so she was only able to catch up on Eureka for this week and will be skipping the podcast for at least two more weeks. The silver lining, though, is that I was able to convince my good friend Aaron to fill in for her.

Normally I try to match the album art with the title of the episode, but Kenneth Alexander once again made us some art we couldn’t pass up using. Thanks, dude!

On this episode, we have mixed feelings about Sword Art, Shin Sekai Yori dips into shoujou territory, JoJo’s goes back to being totally rad and FLCL finishes with a bang. Also, we answer one of our strangest “what would you make” questions yet.

No, don’t worry, all those guns are definitely just guns. FLCL would never use symbolism.

Also, there are certainly no boner jokes in any of the episodes. That’s just your imagination.

Now get your mind out of the gutter and pay attention to this scene were a boxing glove comes out of a female’s nether region.

On this barely Halloween-themed episode of Bakacast, we flip out over Shin Sekai Yori’s tense fifth episode, JoJo’s super-zombie version of Jack the Ripper, and Space Bros’ decision to finally send one of the characters into space.

Oh, and I guess I ask a listener question that completely derails the podcast.

Well, I did it.

I watched Girls Und Panzer, and it’s all your fault.

In addition to our usual reviews, I talk about the first two episodes of this surprisingly not-terrible show with Larry. While I don’t hold the same love for it as Scamp and Inushinde, I have to admit I’m impressed that it turned out to be more entertaining than half the stuff we’re reviewing right now.
