Good news, Ghost in the Shell fans! You can now own drool over pictures of a real, live version of the Tachikoma tank!

Ok, so maybe it’s not as impressive as the tank from the show. Still, pretty good for pre-singularity technology, no?

The fully-mobile Tachikoma can carry one individual, and uses an external camera which projects its feed into the spherical cockpit. It is controlled with a joystick. Unfortunately, the pilot cannot weigh over 132 pounds (60 kilograms), so some of you might need to head for the gym.

No word yet on what kind of weapons systems the Tachikoma will feature.
