Here’s a cute little MAD that mixes Haruhi with the OP of Seitokai no Ichizon. It’s nice to see Ms. Suzumiya gracing some of the less-popular harem shows with her godlike presence.

At the end of the “Oh!” Music Video we were given a clue concerning a new look and music style for the group. This is the result. I’ll let you be the judge.
Here we feature Minori Chihara the voice of Yuki Nagato. The first music video is indicative of her normal singing style. This bright and cheery number is only excelled by Minori singing in a rain shower.
The next example is done in the style of the Big Band singers of the 1940’s, here Minori performs Paradise Lost used as the opening theme song to the anime Ga-rei -Zero- in which she voices the main character Kagura Tsuchimiya.

This year we are celebrating Valentines Day a little differently. The song is called ‘Chocolate Love’ something near and dear to those who want something special on valentines day. These two examples are also indicative of chocolate as well, Light and Dark. Enjoy, and from all of us. Happy Valentines Day.
This example of the evolution of Girls’ Generation contains more intricate dancing numbers and the almost hypnotizing tune takes you front row for this performance.
There is a surprise ending too.
We are really getting close to the cinema showing date for the up and coming film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya and the trickle of news items is starting to increase. Minori Chihara, the voice behind Yuki Nagato, has appeared in a six minute long video of her song Yasashii Bōkyaku. While I personally find the song a bit whiny, the video depicts the scenes in Tokyo upon which the Suzumiya series were based in and around. Examples include the hill rising towards the school, the entrance area, the old clubhouse, etc.
Also, in other news Bandai Entertainment has licensed the DVD’s of the second season of Haruhi for the USA. Unfortunately, this also means another dub into English; a waste of time and effort which I frown upon. How anyone can listen and then favour the English dub over the original (and superior) Japanese casting is beyond me.

Singer, songwriter, voice actress; those words all describe Maaya Sakamoto. She is celebrating her fifteenth year in the business with a new thirty-song greatest hits CD and several concert performances. She can now add a new word to her description; veteran. Approaching her 30th birthday in March she’s spent half her life in the business. In my book that makes you a veteran.

A slight change of pace on my behalf as I sit here in a superheated room without any means of cooling. Summer has arrived here and I have been roaming the countryside with friends, with many hours behind the wheel. I must of heard this particular song about 30 times over the past few days, and am now becoming quite hypnotized by the video clip. Take a look for yourself.
This particular song is called GeeGee by Korean pop-idol group Girls’ Generation. Since I am pretty music illiterate (always forgetting the song names or artists etc) I haven’t discovered Korean or Japanese pop-idol music, let alone western counterparts. In this case both song and clip are very catchy….agree?

The first trailer for the Hatsune Miku / Studio Ordet collaboration Black Rock Shooter has been posted on YouTube… and it looks AWESOME.
As you may recall from one of our previous posts, Black Rock Shooter is an anime project being developed by Yutaka Yamamoto’s Studio Ordet, and is based on the popular Hatsune Miku song of the same name. It is currently slated for a Spring 2010 release. The project will be directed by Shinobu Yoshioka, an episode director from Haruhi, Lucky Star and Kannagi, as well as one of the many Kyoto Animation employees who left the company in 2007 and joined Ordet.
