Max Factory has added to their Figma lineup by releasing a younger version of Haruhi Suzumiya for your enjoyment. In case you didn’t already know, this loli-Haruhi is from the Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody arc, one of the more pivotal episodes in the the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. One of the latest offerings from Goodsmile is the “Red Rose Cavalier” Seena, from the JRPG game Shining Wind. Before I delve any further into bluster about how I have already preordered Seena, it should be known by you, dear reader, that she is based on designs by the well known manga artist Tony Taka. Know of him? You should. A simple google search will “reveal” a huge amount about this fellow and his art. Explore his world, if you will, but be warned: you can never turn back. Great news for Bakemonogatari fanboys (i.e. me), figurine fanboys (also me) and devotees of GoodSmile (yup, again), because GSC has pulled out ALL of their fingers with this new figure of Senjogahara Hitagi.
Just a short post to convey my general feelings of happiness on this day. After a 3 week wait (not a long time by any standards but still arduous for moi) YesAsia has just notified me that my Vocoloid Kagami Figma has been shipped. She is on her way. My Kagami idol in vocoloid cosplay (not of her will if you remember, watch the Lucky Star OVA if you don’t) has become very popular and as such there is a bit of demand. Nevertheless, the wait is over and hopefully she will be here in a few days.
On another note, a good friend of mine came across the Lucky Star-Macross figures on Ebay, the shock of which nearly killed him. The entire set can be bought for US$330, figures, plushies and all. Anyone willing to cough up that kind of money?
