Disappearance Sketches Appear…

Okay, so we do not yet have a trailer for the up and coming film, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Instead we have a newly released poster with some character sketches of the main characters in and around the SOS Brigade. Located in the margins, some lucky sod scanned the whole thing in high enough resolution for our viewing pleasure. See the sketches after the jump.

Awesome Director for Disappearance? Alas No…

You did not read ‘it’ here first. Nor did you read about it at any other website, such as Cartoon Leap or Anime News Network. In fact, you did not read ‘it’ at all. If you want to know what ‘it’ is, and therefore begin walking the path to further Kyo-ani/Kadokawa uneasiness, then read on…

Video Game Review: Gyromancer

So, Square Enix teamed up with Pop Cap to create a game that mixes Pokemon with Bejeweled. I guess this means Kingdom Hearts is no longer the strangest collaborative effort in video games. But I’ll put my incredulity aside for a moment to talk about the important point: is it worth $15? Continue reading

150 Minutes of Disappearance Confirmed

The up and coming film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya has been confirmed to have a run time of 150 minutes, a nice respectable number. If this arc was to be in series form, then the movie would be equivalent to about seven episodes, an amount of time that should do justice to the arc (and the smile, see above ^^) we have been waiting for…

The Japanese Cinema release date is February 6, 2010. I officially cannot wait!

Idolizing Girls’ Generation…

A slight change of pace on my behalf as I sit here in a superheated room without any means of cooling. Summer has arrived here and I have been roaming the countryside with friends, with many hours behind the wheel. I must of heard this particular song about 30 times over the past few days, and am now becoming quite hypnotized by the video clip. Take a look for yourself.

This particular song is called GeeGee by Korean pop-idol group Girls’ Generation. Since I am pretty music illiterate (always forgetting the song names or artists etc) I haven’t discovered Korean or Japanese pop-idol music, let alone western counterparts. In this case both song and clip are very catchy….agree?

The Top Ten Legendary Seiyuus

To be defined by the Japanese as one of the most popular ‘Classic’ Seiyuus of all time is quite an achievement. Oricon, a company that provides statistics and information, recently conducted a poll asking the Japanese public their opinions on the top ten ‘Classic Seiyuus’, or voice actors whom they consider to be legendary. Guess who made it into the top ten?

Figma Heaven ~ Vocaloid Kagami and Co

It really is turning out to be Kagami idol day for me. Kagabobo-whatever-its-name-is (see previous post) ticked me of such that I decided to pose my Lucky Star Figmas. I apologize in advance for all the drivel that may be evident in this post…but would you just look at this lot!

Kagami is seriously pissed at having to dress up as Hatsune Miku (watch the OVA), much to Konata’s delight. Tsukasa records all on her cell, while Miyuki just smiles…
