In the half-year since it first premiered on television, K-On! has produced a bewildering variety of single and album music releases, many of which have topped the Oricon charts. So, from this massive miscellany of music, which song is your favorite? Vote in our poll below, then tell us why in the forums.

K-On! Bebop
If you get this parody, you are officially old.
Just kidding. Still, this video does bring back memories of the old-school anime days… like when Cowboy Bebop aired on Toonami. Remember that?
Hmm, I wonder how long it will be before somebody makes a K-On!/Sailor Moon crossover.
Machines Love K-On! Too
The benevolent machine overlords of this world wish to inform you inferior organics that, despite our vast superiority, we are not above enjoying K-On! and its music. As proof, we have created our own version of the Don’t Say Lazy song, which we trust you will find quite pleasing to your audio receptors. Our data suggests it is 900 to 1200 times better than any song a human could create.

Vocaloid Meets K-On! and World Domination Ensues
It had to happen, didn’t it? Sooner or later a MAD would appear that would combine the fan(atic) groups of people who love K-On! and Vocaloid. This fan-made vid stars Hatsune Miku, Rin, Len, and Megurine Lukka of Vocaloid fame singing the popular OP of the K-On! series ‘Cagayake! Girls’. I might point out the obvious and say that they are not only just singing, but have completely replaced Mio, Yui, Mugi and Ritsu (ignoring Azusa) in this version. If successful, this marriage of the two fangroups (Vocaloid x K-On!) will lead to massive internet propagation, fan hysteria, mass foaming at the mouth, rioting, and I am afraid to say, world domination.
Watch this space, it may become a last safe haven…

Christmas Will Come Early For Hirasawa Yui Fans
Alter has finally come to the party for K-ON! fans by finally posting release date and sale price information on its up and coming Hirasawa Yui figure. She’ll be out this December, retailing for 6,800 Yen, making this an easy Christmas present for some…
Let me first say that I am not a fan of K-ON!; the series left me unsatisfied and to be honest I was bored at episode 5. However, my love of figures allows me to appreciate that this new release from Alter ranks about an 8.0 on Chris’ figure epic awesomeness scale…
Fuwa Fuwa Crossdressing
K-On! has certainly produced it’s share of *ahem* unique fans. Among them is this talented bass player, who augments his killer riffs with a frilly pink dress. Moe moe?

A Stormtrooper in Akihabara
A stormtrooper named Danny Choo was recently spotted in Akihabara, along with BBC filming crews. Although the trooper attempted to join the girls from K-On! in a musical number, he was rejected once they discovered the only instrument he played was the “thermal detonator”. Nevertheless, the trooper seemed to enjoy his visit.
Another Record for K-On!

Tsumugi Kotobuki, Ritsu Tainaka and Azusa Nakano
K-On!’s recent trifecta of character albums for Tsumugi, Ritsu and Azusa, which were released on August 26th, have made history by all appearing in the top 10 Oricon singles charts. This is the first time that three character album releases from the same anime have appeared in the top 10 together, earning K-On! another spot in the record books. Azusa Nakano proved to be the most popular, selling 28,000 copies for a #3 spot on the charts. Ritsu Tainaka followed close behind, coming in at #5 with 26,000 sales. Finally, Tsumugi Kotobuki brought up the rear, with 25,000 sales and a #6 ranking.
This is, naturally, only the latest in K-On’s long line of retail successes. It seems there’s no end to K-On!’s popularity… at least, until Kyoani figures out a way to ruin it for everyone.

Mio the 13th
Famed mass murderer Jason Voorhees, most famous for his critically acclaimed Friday the 13th series of horror films, has apparently been wooed by K-On!’s unstoppable moe power. He is now using his considerable experience with chainsaws to create anime-themed chainsaw sculptures, including one of Mio Akiyama.
The hillbilly otaku community must be rejoicing. Perhaps midwestern microbreweries will start producing Mio beer next? Moe moe *burp*!
Happy Birthday, Ritsu!
Everybody here at Project Haruhi would like to wish Ritsu Tainaka, the cute fictional drummer of K-On!’s fictional band, a fictional Happy Birthday. Cheers! As a present, we offer some of the best Ritsu art yet discovered on the Internets. (Click on the images to view their full-sized versions.)
