Ask Ritsu’s Voice Actress Your Questions

Have you ever dreamed of Ritsu saying Ripley’s classic “nuke them from orbit” line?

No? Just me?

Oh, well, in any case, if you do have something you’d like Satomi Sato to say or a question to ask her, head over to Danny Choo’s website. Choo will interview her for the debut of his new show, “Culture:Japan,” and is taking phrase-requests, questions and fanart from his audience.

Take note: the show airs on June 12, but he’ll film it on June 3. So don’t be like our favorite absentminded drummer and wait until the last minute.

What is your favorite Kyoto Animation series?

Mio Akiyama Is Now On Twitter

Reads right-to-left.

Those of you who have been following me on Twitter know that I’ve recent been posting lots of ero-pics of poor Mio, as part of a collective attempt to get #AkiyamaMio trending. Well, it turns out Mio herself was so incensed by these lewd images that she’s joined Twitter herself. Originally, she joined just to tell me off, but I think she’s actually starting to get addicted to the joys of tweeting. Everybody head over to her profile and give her a warm welcome! I’m still going to keep posting ero-pics of her, by the way… OW! OW! Fine, I’ll stop! GEEZ!

Haruhi vs. Invader Zim!

This fan-made trailer for a Haruhi vs. Invader Zim crossover has been making the rounds recently.

It’s quite well-made… I hope this inspires somebody to make a full-length Haruhi/Zim mashup. A recent Lotte ad has also been quite popular lately, claiming that their new Acuo gum gives you fresh breath powerful enough to transform ordinary people into Haruhi characters.

Man, I wish MY cat would turn into a sexy catgirl. Where can I buy some of this gum?

Which K-ON! girl is your favorite?

We’ve got a new poll! Let us know which K-ON! girl is your favorite by voting below or on our polls page. You can also head to our forums to discuss the series in more detail. Be warned, however… I can’t guarantee any of your safety if Ritsu doesn’t win.

Heh heh heh, I’m just kidding…. OR AM I!?

Tokyo Animation Fair 2010

Just a short post before I make my way westwards in my journey of life and career. This year there have been lots of prototype figures released that all have the potential to blow my mind as well as my wallet; chief of whom is Senjogahara Hitagi from the SHAFT anime series Bakemonogatari.

Bakacast Episode 4 – This Is Absurd

Okay, we took about 3 weeks to release this episode, but it’s twice as long as the others. So it’s almost like we’re on time!

You can download the episode directly, subscribe to our RSS feed or get it from iTunes.

We kick off our news segment with Funimation’s decision to censor the Dance in the Vampire Bund DVD’s (which they quickly reconsidered), followed by short discussions of Media Blasters’ layoffs and whether the American anime industry should just die. Paul “Otaking” Johnson’s fansub documentary closes out the news and provides us with a topic Ryoko, Shamisen and I can agree on before we start arguing about The Wings of Honneamise and Cromartie High School.

Next time: Project A-Ko! Casshern Sins! And punctuality (maybe)!
